Blender Studio has released “Project Gold,” a technical showcase emphasizing stylized rendering. Alongside the showcase, they’ve introduced the Brushstroke Tools add-on, developed during the project’s production, to facilitate the creation of painterly effects.
Subscribers to Blender Studio can access a workshop led by Simon Thommes, the lead artist and developer of the brushstroke technology, which provides an in-depth overview of these tools. Originally intended as a short film directed by Jericca Cleland, “Project Gold” evolved into a showcase for new tools and technologies aimed at achieving a sophisticated painterly aesthetic. Cleland continues to work on the full short film, now benefiting from the matured production tools developed during this collaboration.
